New tech improves spinal surgery

Leading the way in neuro and spinal surgery, Busamed Gateway Private Hospital was the first in KZN to launch the O-arm – a high-end theatre technology from Medtronic making spinal procedures safer and faster – on 30 July.

It was amazing to meet Naseera Bassa and her daughter Aliyah, who was one of the first patients to have surgery using the O-arm.
