A slice of Christmas

We admit, we love a traditional fruit cake. But not everyone does. So, make sure you’ve got something special for Christmas lunch that is guaranteed to please everyone. This year we’re serving a lovely Vanilla Dream torte, layered with chantilly cream and topped with white chocolate shavings from Château Gateaux. Add a few sprigs of appropriate greenery and some festive pomegranate seeds and … voila … Christmas on a plate. Other cakes we’re stocking up on for the festive season are the Southern Red Velvet and their Passionate Lemon Cheesecake. Details: chateaugateaux.co.za.
WIN: We’ve got a voucher for one reader to WIN a cake of their choice. Enter here.
Entries close 10 December.

Misty magic

Enjoy the ultimate relaxation with one of these beautiful Bamboo Aroma Diffusers, also known as ultrasonic diffusers. They use high frequency ultrasonic technology that vibrates water inside the unit creating an ultra-fine mist in the air. Just add a few drops of your favourite aroma and enjoy!

Low cal and lovely!

Low alcohol. Low calories. Great taste. What’s not to love? This summer we’re being sensible. We’re still celebrating everything summer has to offer with lovely wines, but we’re choosing those with lighter alcohol levels and fewer calories. Without, obviously, sacrificing quality or taste. First on our list is the Robertson Winery Light Cultivar range! With around 9 per cent alcohol (instead of the average 12 or 13), there’s a Sauvignon Blanc 2019 (refreshing, dry, zesty, R55), a Chenin Blanc 2019 (off-dry, all yellow apple, pear and floral notes, R55), a Pinotage Rosé (a beautiful pale coral off-dry rosé) and a Merlot (think ripe plum and sweet black cherry flavours). All R50 to R55. Details: robertsonwinery.co.za.

WIN: Stand a chance to win a hamper that includes all four wines and a lovely yoga mat! Enter here.
