The Engine Room, which recently opened its skull-decal doors at Tiffany’s, is a gym unlike any other. Renowned for his direct approach to getting in shape, coach Gary Seymour has created a unique space. Featuring bespoke training rigs, hand-welded from iron beams, gives the gym a modern industrial feel. The smell of the stitched genuine leather benches add to the ambience, as does the fact that there are no mirrors and no fancy equipment. Gary and his team combine ‘Old School’ time-tested strength basics with state-of-the-art technology, in the form of an app that allows you to download your customised workout for the day. There are no crowds, no queues and no sharing of sweaty circuit stations, just a safe, personal space to receive one-on-one attention from your coach.
