Bruce Rencken, Lifestyle Centre Co-Owner said, “We commend our President on the way he has acted in these circumstances and the speed with which the extraordinary measures have been put in place to combat this grave public health emergency. These are certainly tough times for the world, South Africa and each individual. As our President has expressed, while these measures will have a considerable impact on people’s livelihoods, on the life of our society and on our economy, the human cost of delaying this action would be far greater. We urge each person in the Ballito community to play their part in adhering to the rules and regulations of the nation-wide lockdown to fundamentally disrupt the chain of transmission across society. Lifestyle Centre is home to food and health outlets, all of which are important and essential in supporting our community through this time. Hence, it is imperative that we function as efficiently and effectively as possible in these very
trying circumstances. Our priority at Lifestyle Centre at all times is the health, safety and welfare of our customers and our employees. We will continue to maintain our consistently high standards. Lifestyle Centre operations, cleaning staff and security will remain on site and in operation during this time and all health and safety rules and regulations remain in full force and effect. We will get through this together!”
