A visit to the Wax Bar…

Living the life of a busy mom is challenging enough without having to remember to make time for all those personal necessaries, like waxing and keeping your eyebrows in check, right? We’ve found a wonderful new spot that makes hair removal as quick and easy as possible, without keeping you away from ‘real life’ for too long.

We’ve all heard about a dry bar – a place where women quickly zoom in, get a blow dry and zoom back out again looking fab and ready to take on the world. Well, now we have a wax bar (right here in Ballito) and we are already massive fans! And it’s not just for women!

Catering for everyone in the family, from mom and dad (they do male grooming too!) and teens, WAXIT at the Lifestyle Centre Ballito is KZN’s first wax bar and the eighth franchise in the country. We were invited for a treatment experience recently and were blown away by the chic, modern, super clean salon and as well as the professionalism and speed with which the WAXIT team manage to get the job done! A bikini wax and eyebrow thread and tint literally took just 15 minutes! So convenient – and affordable!

WAXIT Ballito owner, Sharon Andrew says she has been blown away by the support they’ve received at their ‘sanctuary of smooth’, especially amongst male clientele. “It’s been so satisfying seeing people leave our salon without having to painstakingly wait for an appointment to open up or wincing at the price of waxing costs.”

Many of their clients are sportsmen and women removing hair from their legs, backs and areas ‘below the belt’ to avoid chaffing. WAXIT has a wide range of treatments as well as their own hypoallergenic wax and Epilfree permanent hair removal. Services include waxing, tinting and threading and a variety of niche offerings, such as ‘vagacials’! They also have special deals for moms and daughters – perfect for Mother’s Day this month!
