It may be a little chillier in the mornings, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still be active – and have fun at the same time! Why not join the Traderoot Active monthly charity run, in collaboration with the Dolphin Coast Striders and Salt Rock Coffee, for a #GetActive 5km or 10km run? The run takes place on the first Sunday of every month and starts at 7am at Salt Rock Coffee. You can bring your friends and family and make a morning of it – and there is a free coffee or water for all participants! The monthly event is organised by Traderroot Active, an impact investment project, that encourages participation in sporting events and activities and raises funds for recognised organisations that support and sustain sports development and children’s education. Imagine watching a beautiful Shakespeare production in an open air theatre, under the moonlight … well now you can! We were thrilled to hear about Kickstart’s enchanting new rendition of the famous comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is being presented in the magical, moonlit Botanic Gardens from 23 July to 1 August. A classic tale of mistaken lovers, mischievous fairies and hilariously muddled amateur actors, the show is promised to be classy, classic, naughty and loads of fun! Take along a cushion and blanket to keep you warm! Details: Tickets are R150 (R120 for kids between 8 and 12, no under 8’s allows). Book your tickets via Computicket
