Coffee? Yes please!

It’s no secret that the Get It team is crazy-for-coffee. This month is International Coffee Day (yay!) and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by introducing you to some of our favourite, local coffee spoils.

Looking for a trendy spot to have a specialty cuppa and a bite to eat? Then you need to visit Salt Rock Coffee Company! Having established themselves as the one of the best coffee hot spots on the North Coast, the team are currently also building a new shop at the Odyssey Centre in Ballito, which will open any day now! The perfect stop for a freshly brewed coffee and croissants, the new store also brings exciting news of new coffee with improved flavour profiles, roasted exclusively for Salt Rock Coffee Company. Owner Karl Desler’s combined passion for excellent coffee and people who love coffee has created the perfect space for locals to catch up over their fave ‘cino’ or meet with clients. Free wi-fi. Open daily, from 7am. Details: Shop 13, 61 Basil Hulett Drive, Salt Rock and soon at Shop 27, The Odyssey, 1 Simbithi Drive, Ballito, www.saltrockcoffee.co.za, @saltrockcoffee.

The team at Food Fundi Café, Sugar Rush Park, Ballito, are serious about their coffee. Owners Jason and Mel Powell have stuck with the same bean supplier for years in their previous restaurants, because the BruStar brand is hard to beat. From the coffee grind to the water quality, to the servicing of machinery and barista training; it’s the finer details that make their coffee so delicious. Plus, there’s plenty for the kids to do at Sugar Rush while mum takes a well-deserved coffee break (with a famous Food Fundi chocolate brownie of course!) Details: Food Fundi Café, Sugar Rush Park,
