Bubbly and landscape art…

We were invited to sip delicious prosecco while perusing the magnificent works of art on display at the opening of the SA Artist’s 2022 Landscape Artist Award Exhibition at The Gallery at the Studios, Lifestyle Centre Ballito on 11 February.

The exhibition and competition, hosted by South African Artist magazine, are a huge deal among the country’s landscape painters, with R80 000 worth of prize money up for grabs.

Gallery curator, exhibition judge and respected Ballito artist Jane Digby hosted the event. “Landscape art is a crucial, widely-practised and far-reaching component of the visual arts repertoire,” she said. Exhibition runs until 21 March.
