OUT AND ABOUT AT THE START OF AUTUMN

13 April Challenge Yourself to Change Tomorrow’. This is the theme of the JumpStart Challenge presented by Mr Price Foundation taking place on Sunday 13 March at Sugar Rush Park Ballito. Whether you walk, run or ride, all you have to do is #JustStart. You can either take your family along an jump into the exciting ‘virtual hybrid challenge’ any time between 12 March and 20 March, or join the in-person event at Holla Trails on Sunday 13 March. It’s easy. All you have to do is choose your distance, enter for R99 (and a 50% discount at the park), and make a difference in the lives of young South Africans. Help break the cycle of poverty and inequality in South Africa through the JumpStart skills development programme. Have a blast (shop, picnic or relax) while doing good. We love it!

25 April
Schools break up for a little pre-Easter rest at the end of this month and we can’t wait for a few lie-ins and a reprieve from making school lunches!

If you’re looking for something special to do with the kids, consider booking a boat trip sea excursion with Dolphin Adventure. Their daily trips can be customised and they have a team of certified skippers to make sure your trip is memorable and safe. To book, contact them on 071 190 7028, [email protected] or www.dolphinadventure.co.za.

Some of our other local holiday favourites include visiting Monkeyland KZN, a free-roaming primate sanctuary, (www.monkeylandkzn.co.za), going for a game drive and lunch at The Rain Farm, which is just 10 minutes from Ballito (www.rainfarm.co.za) and you can keep the kids busy for hours at Sugar Rush Park, with trail rides or walks at Holla Trails, The Jump Park, Unicorn Slime, Sugar Putt Putt, Laser Rush, Craftopia, the Sugar Rush Express Train, Tree Trails and the much-loved Ndlondlo Snake Park.
