Like so many, the Delish Sisters bespoke caterers have had to evolve and diversify over the past few years. The result has been the transformation of this incredible brand into something even more exciting than ever before. We caught up with \u2018delish sister\u2019 <\/strong>Becs Woodcock.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\"\"\u201cOur brand has developed organically as our personal circumstances and customer needs have changed over the years,\u201d says Rebecca, or ‘Becs’.
\nShe and her sister Kate started Delish Sisters nine years ago, selling yummy baked goods at Durban’s I Heart Market and The Wondermarket in Umhlanga.
\nSince then, the Delish Sisters has become a household name on the North Coast. Their gooey, moreish chocolate brownies and lamb wraps were among the many tasty, homemade treats that catapulted the stylish siblings from hustling their wares on weekend markets to running a fully-fledged caf\u00e9 at The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock.<\/p>\n

After a few years in the restaurant industry, Becs and Kate moved exclusively into the bespoke catering space and also published their own, beautiful cookbook.
\nWhen business came to a grinding halt during Covid, the sisters started Delish Sisters Meals – a range of frozen and baked goods (yes, including those brownies), sauces and dips, which they sold at several select local stockists and online.<\/p>\n

While Kate headed up Delish Sisters Meals, Becs has spent the past two years working in the food styling industry. Having worked with some of the biggest commercial companies in the country, including brands such as Knorrox, Knorr, Robertsons, Farmer Brown and Coca-Cola.<\/p>\n

\"\"Now operating under the name Delish Sisters Studio, she also still manages to fit in the odd fun, creative job, she says, such as styling the St Anne’s old girl’s cookbook, which will be published later this year.
\nNow, as the sisters’ lives begin to evolve once more, so too is the business. \u201cIt’s been an incredible journey, starting the brand and watching it grow as we’ve moved into each stage of our lives,\u201d says Becs, whose life in particular has done a complete 360-degree turn in the past year.<\/p>\n

Not only did she get married, but also became a mom to now 11-month-old baby Tom.
\nTom, as it turns out, is the inspiration behind the newest addition to the Delish Sisters repertoire – Delish Sisters Baby. \u201cTom has always been the most relaxed baby and has always fed well. Watching him experience food, which has been such a huge part of my life for so long, has been next-level special,\u201d says Becs, smiling.<\/p>\n

The Delish Sister Baby range, which launched just this month, includes a small selection of purees (ranging from smooth to chunky), as well as a variety of baby-led weaning items, such as waffle fingers, fritattas and falafal balls. There are also yummy treats like the smoothie melts, which are sweet little droplets of freeze-dried smoothies, packed with organic fruit and veggies.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy far the biggest investment in this part of the business has been the freeze drier. It allows us to freeze and vacuum-seal food at extremely low temperatures, meaning the food loses hardly any of its nutritional value. The baby food range is all about finding different and fun ways for kids to get healthy, delicious food into their little bodies.\u201d<\/p>\n

It’s been an incredible journey, starting the brand and watching it grow as we’ve moved into each stage of our lives<\/q><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The baby range is produced at their high-quality Mount Edgecome-based commercial kitchen which meets all health and safety requirements. Becs also has an incredible, fully-fitted photography studio upstairs for the food styling side of the business. \u201cI just love our new studio offering. It\u2019s a light and airy oasis for food magic to be created. It\u2019s also open to big and small businesses to hire out and shoot content for their brands,\u201d says Becs.<\/p>\n

The baby food range is being rolled out in local stores where their current Delish Sisters products are sold, as well as online and at The Village in Sunningdale Centre.
\nBelieve it or not, there is a third Delish Sister, named Julia. \u201cOur youngest sister is currently heading up another branch of the business in the USA, where she’s running a Delish Sisters restaurant inside a boutique hotel in South Carolina. All three of us are motivated, career-driven humans and working and achieving results really puts wind in our sails.<\/p>\n

But it is incredibly important to all of us that we enjoy what we do as well, which is why we continue to evolve and change things up! Delish Sisters has been an incredibly personal journey for all of us and, although we’ve been thrown curve balls, they have ultimately turned out to be for the better and the business truly is authentically \u2018us’.\u201d<\/p>\n
