Semi-naked means there is still a light layer of icing on the cake, but it\u2019s been scraped down so you can see the layers of cake peeking through. A lot more couples are going for colour or texture (or both) to add interest to their cakes. We include texture with a simple stripe in the buttercream, smudges and layers, hand-painted flowers or (a bit more dramatic) the addition of rice paper shards. Couples are also embracing colour and I love it!
