Whether you\u2019re hosting family and friends, or simply soaking up the last of summer at home, nothing beats a tasty cocktail. We asked the team at Sunsets and Mermaids in Umhlanga to share one of their current favourites\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"With sweet and tangy aromas of passionfruit and vanilla, the Monroe\u2019s martini is, essentially, a porn star martini, a popular cocktail that was first created by Ghanaian-born bartender and entrepreneur Douglas Ankrah in the early 2000s. Loved for its fresh flavours and slightly tart kick, the porn star martini boasts a silky texture and is typically served with a shot of prosecco.<\/p>\n

The Sunsets and Mermaids team took this classic cocktail and added their own twist. They recommend using high-quality ingredients when you make it at home. It\u2019s best to shake well, triple-strain it, and serve it in a chilled glass.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

MONROE\u2019S MARTINI<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong>
\n2 pumps passionfruit puree
\n2 shots vanilla flavoured vodka
\n\u00bd shot lime juice
\n\u00bd shot vanilla syrup
\nDash of angostura bitters
\n1 shot prosecco<\/p>\n

Method:<\/strong>
\nAll ingredients except the prosecco go into the shaker with ice.
\nOnce well-shaken, triple strain into a chilled glass.
\nFinish with the prosecco.<\/p>\n
