In celebration of Women\u2019s Month, we chatted to successful women on the North Coast about how they inspire others in our community.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\nWomen seem to be able to bring out the best in all of us. They have the strength and tenacity normally attributed to men, combined with the softness and nurturing women are generally recognised for. And then they have a secret ingredient that holds it all together \u2013 they can multi-task.
\nQ: How do you empower other women?<\/strong>
\nI try to set an example to other women. I work hard, making the most of every day; take any opportunity that comes my way, which also means I make lots of mistakes. I\u2019ve learned to accept that these are all part of the circle of life and that if I can keep my sense of humour, I will be fine. I hope that other women will know they have the ability to overcome the inevitable challenges on the road to becoming their best selves.

\nHaving struggled with anxiety and body dysmorphia, I understand the challenges of low self-esteem. I\u2019m passionate about helping women recognise their true worth by offering compliments (even to strangers), kind gestures, smiles and reassuring words. As a broadcaster in the entertainment industry, I advocate for self-confidence and self-expression, encouraging women to define beauty on their terms.

\nIt means being nurturing, kind and loving. It means leaning into my feminine side with grace and poise, and being audacious and sassy. We have so much life within us and can create life, not only by birthing life \u2013 but women just know how to feed dreams, plant seeds in others and help those seeds grow into opportunities and ideas.
\nQ: How do you empower other women?<\/strong>
\nI use my platforms every day to empower women. I have a feature called Women Crush Wednesday on East Coast Radio, where I sit with different female trail blazers in different industries, and invite them to share their victories, challenges and lessons. It also doesn\u2019t hurt to compliment a woman if you see her doing something admirable or just being cute.

I am not a woman trying to impress, I am a woman trying to progress. The focus is different, and it\u2019s a beautiful mindset

\nI aim to empower other woman by showing them their value, uplifting and encouraging them in everything they do. That very magical filter is applied to every relationship I form, every job I take, every decision I make. Has it affected how other people see me simply because I am a woman? Sure. But it\u2019s never held me back. If anything, it\u2019s propelled me forward.

\nI\u2019m a girl\u2019s girl. I show up for the women in my life by being self-aware enough to not project my insecurities onto them. There\u2019s enough room for all of us. And we must take up space. It\u2019s our duty to build each other up.
