Umhlanga-based couple Tayla and Taylor Gibb tied the knot in a breath-taking destination wedding at Lake Como, Italy. But their big day wasn\u2019t without surprises! <\/strong>An unexpected weather warning led to some truly unforgettable moments \u2013 and even more <\/strong>stunning photos.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\u201cOur wedding certainly didn\u2019t go off without a hitch,\u201d laughs Tayla. \u201cThe night before, we were warned of extreme winds reaching 80km\/h. On the morning of the wedding, we had to cancel the boats that were supposed to take us across the lake to our ceremony at Villa Del Balbianello.\u201d
\n\"\"When they finally arrived, they were told the ceremony had to be moved from the ivy-covered arches overlooking the lake \u2013 what was meant to be a romantic setting had turned into a wind tunnel!
\nDespite the last-minute changes, Tayla embraced the moment, with her bridesmaids rallying around her to make the most of it. \u201cHonestly, it became my favourite part of the day! The photos captured the magic of the unexpected. Looking back,
\nI wouldn\u2019t change a thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Taylor\u2019s mom officiating the ceremony. Since they handled the legalities in South Africa beforehand, they could have anyone conduct the symbolic ceremony.
\n\u2022 Making it more than just a wedding \u2013 friends flew in early for a three-day \u201cSTEN\u201d (stag and hen) party in Milan before heading to Lake Como for a rehearsal dinner filled with endless pizza and pasta!<\/p>\n
