She is married to her best friend Jarrod and is a mom to two little ones who are her absolute joy. Raised in Pretoria, her path took her to the US after school, where a life-changing faith encounter reshaped her direction and led her to Australia to attend Bible college. While she did not begin with a clear career plan, she discovered a deep love for faith, people, writing and fashion – threads that have since woven together into the life and work she leads today.

What inspired you to start The Everyday?

The Everyday began as a small seed in my heart many years ago. It first took shape as a little project called Boho by Bon, where I made macramé rainbows for children. A trip to Vietnam with my husband sparked something new. I fell in love with the textiles and started experimenting with linen dresses. That’s where my love for creating clothing really began.
A few years later, after my first baby, Luna Rae, was born, I designed a dress I wanted for myself, something flowy and feminine, but also practical for breastfeeding. When people kept asking where it was from, I started taking small orders on the side while my husband and I were pastoring a church in Cape Town.
Eight months later, I stepped out in faith, resigned and focused on growing the business while embracing motherhood. Five years on, The Everyday has grown into something beautiful. My priority has always been being a present mom while building a meaningful brand. I work from home in the pockets of time I have, during naps, quiet time and evenings and I’m incredibly grateful for the grace and support around me, especially from my husband.

How has motherhood influenced your approach to life and business?

Motherhood has taught me that presence matters more than performance. Before having children, success looked very different. Now, I am more mindful of how I spend my time, energy and resources. It has also taught me flexibility.
Motherhood has made me gentler and more empathetic. It has helped me connect more deeply with other women and moms and that shapes how and why I create. The Everyday exists to remind women, especially mothers, that they are seen, valued and worthy of beauty and intention in their daily lives.

What drew you to the North Coast?

We visited Ballito a few times as a family and fell more in love with it each time. There’s a slower pace of life here that really resonates with us. Being part of Linc Church was also a big factor – community matters deeply to us. We took a step of faith and moved here in June 2025 and it’s been one of our best decisions.

What do you love most about the community here?

The warmth. People on the North Coast are incredibly friendly and open-hearted. I have had so many meaningful conversations with moms at parks and play areas. We’ve felt so welcomed.

What advice would you give to other women dreaming of starting their own business?

Nothing is impossible. Start with what you have, right where you are. You don’t need perfect conditions to begin – just willingness and courage. And if you’re a mom, it’s okay to put your children first. Business and career will still be there, but the early years with your kids are short and irreplaceable. Be present. Enjoy the season.

Just for fun

Your go-to Everyday piece right now?
The Gracie dress from the Bluebell collection.

Morning ritual you never skip?
Coffee and my Bible on the balcony, even with a thousand interruptions.

One word that describes this season of your life?
Becoming.

Coffee order?
Single-shot cappuccino.

One value you hope your children learn by watching you?
Faith and wholeness.
