This Mother\u2019s Day, we\u2019re shining a light on a special duo: Salt Rock\u2019s Megan Bobbert and her mom, Fay Coleman.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Megan and Fay are the powerhouse team behind Image Insured, a boutique image consultancy in Kloof. Their business helps clients discover the colours, styles and shapes that make them look and feel their best, but the heart of their story is the bond they share. We chatted to Megan about what it’s like working with her mom, the lessons she’s carried from childhood into business and how they celebrate Mother’s Day together.<\/p>\n

What’s your favourite thing about working with your mom?<\/strong>
\nThat I get to talk to her every single day! I don’t take for granted how lucky I am to spend many more hours with her than most daughters do in a lifetime.<\/p>\n

One thing your mom taught you that you still use in life or business?<\/strong>
\nTo commit every decision, obstacle, dream and desire to the Lord. My mom has always been my prayer warrior. From the time I was little, I watched her pray about everything in her life. That faith has carried me into adulthood and is the foundation our business is built on.<\/p>\n

Do you have any Mother’s Day traditions you share?<\/strong>
\nMom’s birthday usually falls around the same time as Mother’s Day, so we often combine the celebrations at her favourite restaurant in the world – Mundo Vida in Umdloti. It’s always a joyful, laughter-filled day.<\/p>\n

One thing you hope your mom knows this Mother’s Day?<\/strong>
\nThat I find it an absolute honour to have built a business with her. We’ve weathered the storms of being business owners through the last few crazy years and come out stronger than ever. There’s an unspoken respect between us that grows during these highs and lows. It’s something only we truly understand.<\/p>\n

What makes your business so special to you?<\/strong>
\nI truly believe our business is where it is today because of the foundation my mom and I built – and that is God. He spoke this business into being many years ago, and we know we are simply His hands and feet on the ground, helping as many women as possible find their confidence.
