Bellevue Caf\u00e9 has quietly settled into the Ballito Lifestyle Centre with a menu built for easy meals, good company and unhurried dining.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Bellevue Caf\u00e9 doesn\u2019t feel new in the way many openings do. Instead, there\u2019s an immediate sense of ease \u2013 as though it has always belonged in the Ballito food scene.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere is relaxed, and there\u2019s a quiet confidence in the way everything comes together. We settled in just as easily, a crisp glass of ros\u00e9 in hand and a long, lazy lunch unfolding ahead of us.<\/p>\n

A familiar name, a new home<\/strong>
\nBehind the caf\u00e9 is owner Guy Cluver, no stranger to the culinary scene. With Bellevue Caf\u00e9 already well established in Kloof, this North Coast opening feels like a natural extension of something already well-loved.<\/p>\n

Guy has spent years in the industry, and it shows \u2013 in a menu that understands balance: comfort without heaviness, flavour without complication, and food that feels considered rather than overworked.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>A menu built for easy dining<\/strong>
\nThe food leans into relaxed, generous dining \u2013 equally suited to a quick breakfast, a long lunch or an unhurried dinner.<\/p>\n

We started with the Burrata Caprese: a simple, beautifully balanced plate of imported Italian burrata, fresh tomato, basil pesto, extra virgin olive oil, and toasted sourdough.<\/p>\n

For mains, the paella risotto stood out \u2013 prawns, calamari, and chorizo folded through a rich Napoli base, lifted with olive oil. Bold without being heavy, it had just enough depth to keep each bite interesting.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The grilled beef fillet on spinach and gorgonzola risotto was all about comfort, lifted by sundried tomato pesto that cut through the richness in all the right places.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The crispy calamari rice bowl offered something lighter and fresher. Think salt-and-pepper calamari with coconut basmati rice, edamame, avocado, cucumber and a gentle Asian honey-soy dressing.<\/p>\n

For something familiar but well-executed, the prawn and avo Caesar salad delivered exactly what you\u2019d hope for \u2014 crisp greens, herbed croutons, bacon, and shaved Grana Padano, all anchored by a classic Caesar dressing.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Something sweet to finish<\/strong>
\nDessert kept things simple but satisfying. The cr\u00e8me br\u00fbl\u00e9e offered that satisfying crack of caramelised sugar, while the carrot cheesecake was the unexpected highlight \u2013 a clever blend of carrot cake and baked cheesecake that just works.<\/p>\n

A place to return to<\/strong>
\nBellevue Caf\u00e9 doesn\u2019t try to reinvent dining on the North Coast. Instead, it focuses on doing the basics well \u2013 good food, a relaxed atmosphere and service that feels genuinely warm. We\u2019re already looking forward to coming back!<\/p>\n
