A major new talent search and showcase initiative for aspiring young South African performers has been launched online by acclaimed actress, singer and musical theatre coach, Lisa Bobbert. Starz at Home<\/strong> offers entertainers between the ages of five and 19 the chance to break out of lockdown and shine online!<\/p>\n

Qualities the judges and Lisa are looking for include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Something Special<\/li>\n
  2. Talent<\/li>\n
  3. Authenticity<\/li>\n
  4. The ability to radiate a love for performing<\/li>\n
  5. A certain Zaniness – everyone loves something different!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How it works:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Enter online at webtickets<\/a>. Registration is R50 per solo category (five to 19 years old) and R100 for a family (two or more people in an item – no age restriction – Moms and Dads are invited to get involved too)…<\/p>\n

    2. Enter your category\/categories: dance, vocals, acting, musical variety,<\/p>\n

    3. Film a 90-second video…start by introducing yourself followed by your performance.<\/p>\n

    4. Join the \u201cStarz At Home<\/a>\u2019\u2019 Facebook page and upload your video. In the comments section write your name, age and ticket number (barcode number from Webtickets). Once your video is uploaded – send and share to all your friends…there is a Fan Favourite prize for the video with the most likes and shares.<\/p>\n

    Deadline for entries and uploads is 31 May and winners will be announced on Friday, 12 June!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Loads of prizes are up for grabs including: Best overall Performance; Category Winners; Fan favourite – the video that gets the most likes and shares – and Triple Treat: contestant who shines in three or more categories…<\/p>\n
