Known for their stylish themes and high artistic standard, the Arco Musica group is back with a production that is said to be like nothing the city has ever seen.

The production, titled The Classic Connection is a showcase of instrumental favourites performed by a 14-piece orchestra, solo instrumentalists and a newly-formed Arco vocal ensemble.

According to cellist, Arend Brink, the programme includes music from different genres, from classics to some of the latest hits and a fusion of old and new. “Both old and young are welcome and we want to provide an evening where people can be comfortable and mingle while still enjoying top quality music in style,” said Brink.

The group of professional musicians was formed back in the early 90’s to meet the growing demand for quality live performances in a variety of musical styles. 27 years later the group is still known for its well-defined stylish themes, professional performance and amazing presentation.

This will also be the first time in the 27 years of the music group’s existence that their newly established choir will be performing. The focus of the concert is to display the virtuosity of Arco instrumentalists in order for the audience to appreciate the unique tone colour of every instrument. Professional artists such as Arend brink, Debbie Brink, Richard Reid, Arend Brink Jr, Andries Mostert, Johann van Deventer, Angelo Mockie, Peter Cleff, Elsabe Raath, Sharon de Kok, Anthon Esterhuyse and Anthony Duffin will be performing as well as the Arco vocal ensemble.

The Classic Connection with Arco Musica will take place on 25 and 26 October 2019 at 19:30 at the Ramblers Club Ballroom. Tickets are available at Computicket for R170 pp.
