A veggie treat for any lunchbox…

For a child, there are very few things that bring as much joy as the feeling of opening up your lunchbox to see what has been packed for that day.

But with most things, balance and moderation are key. The last thing a teacher wants is your child bouncing off the walls because they got an 11am lunch filled with sugary treats. It is possible to make your child’s snack delicious and exciting without it being packed full of sugar and tartrazine.

A happy formula is: 1 fruit, 2 veggies, a healthy protein, a whole grain, a dairy item and a little healthy treat.
For example: Strawberries or some watermelon; carrot sticks and baby tomatoes; Humus or a hardboiled egg; some crackers; a full fat Greek yogurt or some cheese (to go on the crackers); a packet of Eat Real Veggie Straws

A brilliant and healthy gluten-free treat for any lunchbox (or a at home nibble), Eat Real Veggie Straws are packed with kale, tomato and spinach, with low salt content and no added sugar. Enjoy on their own or with your favourite homemade dips.
