Jaclyn Ivy Vosloo describes herself as “a dreamer, a goal setter, and an action
taker”.

Her career path has been a fascinating one. “I bought over Nov-U, a beauty
distribution company supplying and educating beauty professionals in the Free
State and Northern Cape. My business grew 400% in three years and I won the
South African Business of Excellence Forum’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in
2017.”

Next, Jaclyn built her empire by opening Kryolan Free State and developing her
own product line under her brand IVY BEAU. In 2018, Jaclyn bought The Nail
House. “It had its own product lines, and I added a consumer-based aspect to the
business group. This allowed me to expand nationally, adding pharmacies and
retailers to our client base.”

Jaclyn is also active in the medical aesthetics space. “I’ve partnered with two aesthetic doctors, under Contour.Med. I’m currently orchestrating an collaboration of top-notch industry professionals in this space.’

Asked about the best decision she has ever made, she answers that connecting
with a business coach changed her mindset, business and life. Jaclyn’s worst
decision relates to choosing the wrong business partner. “I now believe there are
better ways to collaborate in business. Partnerships often, and mostly, are sinking
ships.”

Lastly, does this high-powered businesswoman make time for herself? “Yes, I love to travel, so I plan and schedule trips. My husband is also incredible and reminds me to take a decompression hour in the evenings – whether I take a bubble bath with a face mask or just lie and read.”
