Corneil Muller is an acclaimed musician who was born and bred in the City of Roses. From a young age he sang in various vocal groups and gave solo performances, both as a singer and cellist. Being a brand creative, he recently joined Graydient as a Creative Consultant.
“Balancing two worlds as a professional singer (The Voice South Africa, Season 3) and also being a team member at Graydient Creative Consultants, I draw inspiration from successful and well balanced individuals. My mentor strategy is to constantly surround yourself with people who have dreams and ambition; they will help you push for and realize your own.” This is according to Corneil, who bases his life on the belief of balance. “Work hard and play harder. And exercise (very) regularly.”
The highlights of the past year for him was working with creative and inspiring people, and seeing how the community could bounce back from a crippling pandemic. “From my fellow artists around the world and co-workers at Graydient, suppliers and clients – I was and still am inspired by people’s strength and resilience.”
He also believes that old-fashioned marketing is back again and in popular demand. “Make sure you do not only focus on social media strategies, but also get back to the basics.”
So, what motivates Corneil to get out of the bed in the morning? “Balancing a healthy lifestyle – well I try… so starting my day with a good strength training session in the gym even when it is -7 degrees Celsius!”
