2001 was a career defining moment that Erna Goodes could not have anticipated as she joined the ranks in the RE\/MAX brand. As the Broker Owner of RE\/MAX First in Bloemfontein, she selects, appoints and train real estate agents to ensure the smooth running of the office, to optimise support given to agents, and attending to the needs of the staff.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy main focus is to inspire and grow people, who will grow the business. I lead people to understand their strengths and set goals to reach their full potential. I established love as the centre of the business with a loyal and supportive family of agents and staff. I firmly believe loads of fun should be incorporated in the business,\u201d says Goodes.<\/p>\n
She expresses her pride in being part of the RE\/MAX brand and watching it grow from 4 agents to 40. \u201cSeeing people developing and becoming financially independent, creating better lives for their families, and constantly winning the Best of Bloemfontein is something I take pride in. [I\u2019m also proud of] winning the RE\/MAX National RE\/MAX Passion award, winning the number 1 spot in the region every year and continuously ending in the top 5 single offices nationally,\u201d says Goodes.<\/p>\n
Goodes attributes their success to the consistency the brand shows. \u201cThe fastest will not necessarily win the race, but the most adaptable and consistent,\u201d says Goodes.<\/p>\n
As a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Goodes takes time to be with her family. \u201cI love my family and spend as much time as possible with my husband, Barry, my children and grandchildren.\u201d<\/p>\n
Realising the importance of charity work, Goodes enjoys watching how the charity work they do impacts the lives of those who are less fortunate. \u201cI enjoy seeing people not asking for a miracle, but becoming the miracle – the hope, encouragement, and uplifting society needs.\u201d<\/p>\n
For 2023, Goodes hopes to win every single accolade with a happy, fulfilled RE\/MAX team.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy focus in 2023 is to lead by example, to motivate my team to become even more successful, but to develop in all areas of their lives. I will continue to support my team through the world-class RE\/MAX training programmes and personal attention.
