To create a flourishing garden, you need to identify your soil type and work with its natural properties. There are six main soil types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Clay Soil<\/strong>: Rich in nutrients but slow to drain. Sticky when wet, it benefits from organic matter like compost to improve drainage and texture.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sandy Soil<\/strong>: Quick-draining and gritty, sandy soil loses nutrients easily. Adding compost enhances its fertility and moisture retention.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silt Soil<\/strong>: Smooth and fertile but prone to compaction. Organic matter helps bind particles and reduce erosion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Loam Soil<\/strong>: A balance of sand, silt, and clay, loam is ideal for gardening.
