{"id":18533,"date":"2025-02-03T12:11:28","date_gmt":"2025-02-03T10:11:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/bloemfontein\/?p=18533"},"modified":"2025-02-03T12:30:26","modified_gmt":"2025-02-03T10:30:26","slug":"a-mothers-love-in-every-bite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/getitmagazine.co.za\/bloemfontein\/blog\/2025\/02\/03\/a-mothers-love-in-every-bite\/","title":{"rendered":"A mother\u2019s love in every bite"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Inspired by his mother\u2019s love for cream-based pasta, Juliano Davide Petrella from 051 Culture Caf\u00e9 has put together an easy to follow recipe for the Al Paolo dish served at the Italian restaurant at Reizis Square.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Creamy Al Paolo (serves 2) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup cream<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup chicken stock<\/li>\n<li>80 g Parmesan, grated<\/li>\n<li>200 g chicken breasts\/sliced<\/li>\n<li>200g Green Peppers, pan-fried<\/li>\n<li>150g pan-fried mushrooms<\/li>\n<li>250 g penne, cooked al dente<\/li>\n<li>Salt and black pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream and chicken stock. Allow it to simmer until reduced by half, creating a rich, creamy base. To add flavour, stir in half of the Parmesan cheese, along with the sliced chicken, pan-fried green peppers, and mushrooms. Let the ingredients meld together. Lastly, toss the mixture with the cooked penne, ensure the pasta is well-coated.
