The Jaecoo J7 SHS is the fourth edition to the J7 family and Jaecoo\u2019s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. SHS stands for Super Hybrid System. What is an SHS? It\u2019s a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle you can charge like an electric car, but it also charges itself while you drive, using the engine and braking to top up the battery. The Jaecoo is fuel efficient without compromising on performance.<\/p>\n

What makes the Jaecoo J7 SHS special as a PHEV? It has a high battery level capacity and boasts exceptional power with low fuel consumption. In laymen\u2019s terms, J7 SHS is fuel efficient and still packs a powerful punch.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is also styled pretty well. The bold grill design, accompanied by the LED headlights, will definitely catch your eye. It also has flush door handles that pop out as you approach with the key, making you feel somewhat important, like a concierge opening the door for you. The full panoramic sunroof comes standard \u2013 something you usually pay extra for on high-spec premium cars. The electronic tailgate has a sleek light bar to make the rear even more appealing.<\/p>\n

The J7 SHS allows for a soft drive and light steering. It\u2019s jam-packed with advanced driving assistance: Autonomous Emergency Braking (it brakes for you in emergencies), Adaptive Cruise Control (maintains a safe following distance), Rear Cross-Traffic Assist with Braking (warns you when reversing), Traffic Sign Recognition, Traffic Jam Assist, and so much more. The Driver Monitoring System checks for fatigue and beeps when you\u2019re not paying attention. Basically, the J7 SHS does a lot to keep you safe on the road.<\/p>\n

Bokang Mokotedi, Sales Executive at Garden City Motors Bloemfontein, also commends the safety of the vehicle, saying Bloemfontein families should opt for this mid-sized SUV. \u201cIt scored 5\/5 stars in the Euro NCAP Crash Test, and it has a total of 7 airbags which makes it a very safe family car.<\/p>\n

Another interesting fact: The J7 SHS does not have a \u201cstart button\u201d. It is ready to drive when you apply your foot to the brake and when your safety belt is on.<\/p>\n

The interior is packed with features. A big, responsive infotainment screen comes with wireless connectivity. It has dual climate control which will always create the perfect ambient temperature for the family. The J7 SHS also has a wireless charging pad with air vents to keep your phone cool and prevent it from overheating.<\/p>\n

The interior includes soft-touch materials, giving you that \u201cpremium\u201d feel. The J7 is not only about interesting tech it\u2019s also practical. There\u2019s ample leg and headroom, a spacious 500L boot that expands to 1265L when you fold the rear seats, and Isofix mountings in the back.<\/p>\n

Kobus Alberts, Sales Manager at Garden City Motors Bloemfontein, applauds the J7\u2019s fuel efficiency. \u201cIt has a combined range of up to 1,200km when fully charged and has a combined fuel consumption of 4,7L \/ 100km. The J7 SHS also has an impressive 90km all electric range.\u201d<\/p>\n
