<\/p>\nHis entrepreneurial journey started long before the success of Deco Table and Simply Tents. It began with a creative mindset, hard work, and the desire to build something from the ground up.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cSince I can remember, I\u2019ve always loved creating; building something meaningful from nothing has always inspired me,\u201d he shares.<\/p>\n
After spending six years working at Raubex, Rembold decided to leave the security of corporate life behind and make Bloemfontein his permanent home. It was a leap of faith that would shape not only his career but also his personal growth as an entrepreneur.<\/p>\n
\u201cI came across an opportunity to purchase an existing d\u00e9cor company, and although the business failed within the first few months due to unforeseen challenges and inherited issues, it became one of the most valuable learning experiences of my life,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
Instead of walking away after the setback, he regrouped, researched the industry, rebranded the business, and started over with a small office and a clear vision.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe started with the smallest events, supplying basic items like cutlery, tables, and d\u00e9cor, and slowly built our reputation through consistency, creativity, and attention to detail.\u201d<\/p>\n
Over the years, Deco Table has grown into a trusted name in the events industry, contributing to major productions and well-known events, including NAMPO Harvest Day, Free State Arts Festival, Konka, Kalahari Auctions, Durban July, and Black Door, while delivering experiences in both major cities and some of the country\u2019s most remote locations.<\/p>\n

In the midst of it all, he realised a gap in the market which led to the launch of Simply Tents in 2022. He says that is where innovation happens on a larger scale. \u201cWe follow the latest global developments in marquee structures, staging, trussing, and event infrastructure, and work closely with manufacturers in South Africa to create and adapt structures that meet international standards and trends.\u201d<\/p>\n
Deco Table, on the other hand, focuses on current colour palettes, evolving styling trends, furniture designs, and d\u00e9cor concepts, whether that includes minimalist aesthetics, bold statement pieces, dried florals, or modern luxury finishes.<\/p>\n
While trends play an important role, Rembold believes it is just as important to stay true to the identity of the brand. Rather than simply following what is popular, the focus is on taking inspiration from trends and adapting them in a way that suits the client, the setting, and the overall experience being created.<\/p>\n

For him, success lies in understanding what works and bringing every element together in a way that feels thoughtful, intentional, and unique. \u201cAt this stage of my life, success is no longer just about being the biggest or the best; it\u2019s about growth, sustainability, and building something that continues to evolve,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
For Rembold, entrepreneurship also means creating opportunities for others and building strong teams around a shared vision.<\/p>\n
While the events industry is fast-paced and demanding, he says the pressure is balanced by the satisfaction of seeing ideas come to life. From weddings and festivals to large-scale productions, Rembold thrives on the challenge of bringing moving parts together.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the end of the day, great events are about more than d\u00e9cor or infrastructure alone, they are about communication, planning, logistics, creativity, and execution all working together perfectly,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
Outside of business, Rembold prioritises family life and values the quieter moments away from work. Most evenings are spent at home with his family, while cricket and gym sessions help him recharge when time allows.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy biggest supporter throughout this journey has definitely been my wife. She is one of the most positive and supportive people anyone could ask to have by their side. Through all the ups and downs, long hours, pressure, and demanding seasons, she has always been there, encouraging me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Looking back on the journey, he says entrepreneurship has taught him the power of adaptability, and the importance of never standing still.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe most entrepreneurs are simply trying to achieve the best they can with the time and opportunities they are given. For me, success is continuing to move forward, continuing to build, and never becoming comfortable with standing still.\u201d<\/p>\n
