Conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Meel Meester &#8220;Cake-Off&#8221; Competition is presented by Get It Bloemfontein in association with Checkers.<\/li>\n<li>The competition is open to children residing in <strong>Bloemfontein<\/strong> within the following age categories:\n<ul>\n<li>Category 1: 6 \u2013 10 years<\/li>\n<li>Category 2: 11 \u2013 14 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Entries are now open and close at 23:59 on <strong>24 July<\/strong> 2026.\u00a0\u00a0 No late entries will be accepted.<\/li>\n<li>To enter, participants must:\n<ul>\n<li>Submit an original cake recipe containing a maximum of <strong>10 ingredients<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Include <strong>one secret ingredient<\/strong> from the Checkers product range.<\/li>\n<li>Be creative with the cake presentation and decoration.<\/li>\n<li>Submit a short video showcasing the final product (cake) and your baking process.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the video file size does not exceed <strong>2MB<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Complete and submit the official entry form below together with the recipe and video.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian (18 years or older) complete and submit the entry form on their behalf.<\/li>\n<li>All entries must be submitted before the closing date of <strong>20 July<\/strong> via the official competition platform or method specified by the organisers.<\/li>\n<li>A panel of judges will review all valid entries and select <strong>12 finalists<\/strong> across the two age categories.<\/li>\n<li>Finalists will be notified by <strong>22 July<\/strong> using the contact details supplied on the entry form.<\/li>\n<li>Finalists must be available to attend and participate in the live <strong>Meel Meester Cake-Off Final<\/strong> on <strong>Saturday, 1 August<\/strong>, in <strong>Bloemfontein<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Attendance at the final event is compulsory. Should a finalist be unable to attend, the organisers reserve the right to select an alternative finalist.<\/li>\n<li>Finalists may be required to recreate or present their cake at the event and participate in related competition activities.<\/li>\n<li>By entering, participants and their parents\/guardians grant Get It Bloemfontein and Checkers permission to use submitted recipes, photographs, videos, names and images for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without additional compensation.<\/li>\n<li>Entries must be the participant&#8217;s own original work and may not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.<\/li>\n<li>The judges&#8217; decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.<\/li>\n<li>Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.<\/li>\n<li>The organisers reserve the right to amend, postpone or cancel the competition should circumstances beyond their control require it.<\/li>\n<li>By entering this competition, participants and their parents\/guardians agree to be bound by these Terms &amp; Conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><code><\/code><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you our next Meel Meester?
