Costa Rica in a glass bottle

We’re longing to travel. Somewhere warm and exotic with tropical beaches and a bit of adventure.

Let’s go to Costa Rica … all spider monkeys and keel-billed toucans, volcanoes and forests, waterfalls and exotic foliage. We’ll eat ceviche and tres leches cake and drink guaro and be happy. Or … we’ll buy a bottle of Guaria Morada. The Berdoues Collection Grands Crus is described as ‘an art form creating unusual fragrant experiences of travels through the world’s most beautiful destinations’. They’re perfumes inspired by travel, and Guaria Morada – which is the name of the country’s unique and iconic flower and is a symbol of good luck and fortune – is, quite simply, Costa Rica in a glass bottle. It has a tender scent, with velvety floral notes and exotic fruity hints … think amyris from Haiti, patchouli from Indonesia and orange from Brazil. Glorious! You’ll find it for R1595 at Foschini (foschiniforbeauty.co.za) … or, you could enter our August Spoil competition. Simply travel over to GetItNationalMagazines on Facebook and follow the prompts. Entries close August 30. See you in Costa Rica x
