Are you party ready?

We’ve put together our ultimate make-up hamper, complete with all the colour we need to look our sensational best these hols.

A quick stop at Clarins (oh hell, let’s be honest, we spent absolutely ages there, playing with all the gorgeous new releases) and we came away with some seriously special beauty buys.

Lots of parties, cocktails, late nights … our skin may need a little SOS help. Hello colour correcting SOS Primer. This one in Rose gives 24 hour moisture, keeps your make-up looking good for longer, has a cooling and super-light texture which allows skin to breathe while  protecting against the harmful effects of the environment and … hooray … minimises signs of tiredness and revitalises our complexion.

For eyes, the 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palettes (this one in 02 Rosewood) have sensory mineral textures which not only nurture our eyelids, but with satin, matte and iridescent shadows, allow us to go light during the day and dazzle when the sun goes down. And holiday or not, we never go anywhere without lashings of mascara … Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D offers four dimensions of flawless eyes … volume, length, curve, and high definition. Wink, wink.

Blush prettily with Joli Blush … it adjusts to any skin tone,  has an airy, fine, soft and lightweight texture that lets your skin breathe, and smooths the skin’s texture by blending into the surface – in just one step. We wear this in Cheeky Pink for absolutely irresistible cheeks.

For lips, we’re spoilt for choice. Kick off kissable lips with a lip liner pencil – there’s one for every skin tone (we fancied this Roseberry). It gives a flawless finish, glides on smoothly, gives definition to our lips and improves lipstick wear. For a daytime and less formal holiday look, we chose Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Candy, which simply melts on the lips. It’s a nourishing lip care product that gives a non-sticky, sweet coat of shine. Up it just a jolt with Intense Lip Perfector  … with a cushion applicator designed to expertly hug every sexy curve of your lips, it plumps them up and gives a wet-look gloss. Then, for a more intense jolt of colour, the Joli Rouge range (in sleek new, utterly feminine packaging) is a creamy formula that coats the lips in strong colour with a delicate satin finish. This is a win-win option … the lipstick hydrates the lips from within for six hours and leaves them soft, supple and comfortable. Seriously stunning lips! Ready to go? Not quite. A quick spritz of Clarins Fix’ Make-up – a  light and refreshing mist – will set make-up and give longer-lasting hold, instantly moisturises and soothes the skin and has an invigorating grapefruit extract and organic rose water scent to provide a continuous sense of well-being all day (and night) long.
