It was five days of spectacular show-jumping action as riders competed in 39 hotly-contested events during the annual Nissan Winter Classic held at the Shongweni Club.
Spectators were spoiled for choice with loads of entertainment, a vehicle display and test drive and a range of quality market stalls. The 1.5m Nissan FEI World Cup Qualifier was clinched by Limpopo’s Chris van der Merwe (25) riding Capital’s Chantilly, who took the lead over four-time winner of the SA Showjumping Derby, Nicole Horwood (Kyalami), riding Capital’s Don Cumarco.
