Get It Reader Event

The day finally arrived for our Get It Reader Event, and those who joined us spent a fun-filled afternoon at Makaranga Garden Lodge enjoying lots of bubbly and wine, mouth-watering eats, a fabulous fashion show by Calypso Collections, loads of incredible prizes and a host of exciting items that were auctioned off to raise funds for The Open Door Crisis Care Centre, whose 82-year-old founder, Thora Mansfield, attended and shared her emotional journey as pioneer for the centre which offers support and empowerment, counselling and social services to victims of all forms of trauma and crisis, throughout Durban and beyond. Of course nothing tops off an afternoon like this without an uplifting and motivational talk like the one we enjoyed by our August cover model and popular local Life Coach, Caitlyn De Beer, who gave us all something to think about on our paths to refuelling, refreshing and rejoicing in our lives.
