WE’RE so incredibly proud of our gorgeous home girl, Miss SA, Zozibini Tunzi, who took New York by storm this week as she floated down the catwalk at New York Fashion Week. The Made In Africa show received rousing applause as Zozi strutted her stuff in the unique Xhosa designs that signify her heritage.  Zozi showed off the designs of trendsetting designers, South African Laduma Ngxokolo and Mozambican Eliana Morargy.

“It was a very proud moment for Zozi, for the Miss South Africa Organisation and for all South Africans to see her walk down that New York Fashion Week runway,” said Stephanie Weil, CEO of Miss South Africa

Zozi wearing her trademark natural hairstyle and clothes from the renowned fashion house, Maxhosa by Laduma, was breathtaking. She and Laduma both hail from adjacent villages in the Eastern Cape and share a common Xhosa heritage.

While she was in New York, Zozi spent time with South Africa’s famous export, comedian and host of the much lauded Daily Show, Trevor Noah. “Trevor is completely charming. He and I chatted happily away in Xhosa together,” she said.
