In celebration of the purple root so many of us have grown to love, executive chef at Westville’s Salisbury Café, Jean Pierre Le Roux teamed up with rugby mama, Dawn Dunn, in a Beetiful Beets cooking demo, that went down a treat! From beetroot-infused vodka, to beetroot boiled eggs served with Shimeji mushrooms and lemon curd, and beetroot and king prawn soup, guests indulged in a phantasmagorial Friday afternoon of flavour and fun.
