Celebrate and have fun outdoors this Garden Day

Whether your idea of a garden is a desert rose succulent in a pot on your desk, a herb box on the kitchen windowsill, or a manicured-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life garden with precisely mown lawn and a clipped box hedge … celebrate it.

Later this month it’s Garden Day … so wear a flower crown, share a pot of hibiscus tea and lavender shortbread with a garden-loving friend, plant a rose bush, and raise a glass of bubbles (with elderflower syrup) to our gardens.

Garden Day was created by Candide, the app for plant lovers, with the aim of encouraging people to reconnect with their gardens and share the joy of gardening.

Garden Day will host a programme of garden-themed activities like yoga, flower crown-making workshops, garden-inspired gourmet and more. It’s on Sunday, October 11 and everyone is encouraged to join the celebration live on Zoom and Facebook.
