If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that our future and the future of our planet are linked, and both are under threat.

Over the years, we’ve switched off our lights in solitary, creating an unmissable sight that helped draw public attention to nature loss and climate change.

This year, as you once again switch off your lights on the night of Earth Hour, 27 March from 8:30pm, WWF South Africa will share a special Earth Hour 2021 campaign video and everyone is encouraged to share this on their social media platforms.

This video shows the links between pandemics, climate change and pollution, and the role of nature in addressing these challenges.

Sign up and WWF will email you exciting tools so you and your friends and followers can take part in the first-ever virtual spotlight Earth Hour event.

Nature underpins everything. The air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat all comes from nature. Now is the time to speak up for it!
