Specialist conveyancing and property law firm, Ainsworth Attorneys Inc. recently sponsored new running vests and shirts to Dean Wight, founder of local online running network, Beloved Long Runs (BLR) KZN, for his fundraising campaign for Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) this year.

Dean is the HACT’s official Comrades charity ambassador and over the past three years has raised over R1 million for the local charity through the Comrades Marathon’s annual “Race for Charity” drive.

Despite this year’s running of the Comrades Marathon having to be cancelled for a second year in a row as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Dean is still determined to continue to raise funds for HACT and will still be running 90km come Sunday, the 13th June as part of Comrades’ virtual Centenary Hope Challenge event.

“One of the primary ways I raise funds for HACT every year is through the sale of BLR branded running gear which is exactly where Ainsworth Attorneys fit in as they have very generously sponsored some new BLR running vests and shirts for my fundraising campaign for HACT this year. I’m really grateful to Shelley and her team for their wonderful support which I know is going to go directly to those in real need within our local communities,” says Dean.

“Our team are proud to support Dean in his fundraising campaign and are delighted to have played a part in supporting HACT and the wonderful work they do in helping thousands of vulnerable children and families impacted by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, living directly along the Comrades route in the Valley of 1000 Hills, many of whom are suffering even more now because of COVID-19,” says Shelley Ainsworth – Director of Ainsworth Attorneys Inc.
