If you’re a runner, don’t miss the Umgeni Water Marathon, held every year during National Water Week at Midmar Dam. There are 10km (2 hrs 15 mins), 21.1km (3hrs 15 mins) and  42.2km (5 hrs 30 mins) options, with medals for all finishers within the cut-off times. All entrants receive a free T-shirt and must collect race packs on March 12 at Collegians Club, 381 Boshoff Street, Pietermaritzburg, between 2pm and 5pm, or on race day (March 13) at Midmar Dam resort between 4am and 5.15am. Covid screening forms are compulsory on registration. You can download the FinishTime passport app on your phone from Google Play, enter your details, select Umgeni Water Marathon and complete the questionnaire. It’s the first holiday of 2022 the outer fields of Kings Park Stadium are going to come alive. Fact, Durban Rocks returns with a fun-filled picnic and entertainment festival, boasting a super line-up of local and travelling talent from 11am to 11pm. If there was ever a time when laughter was needed it is now, so we cannot wait to catch two of our favourite comedians, Aaron Mcilroy and Lisa Bobbert, on stage in their latest side-splitting production GO BIG!  Directed by Daisy Spencer, GO BIG! will run at the Seabrookes Theatre at Durban High School from Thursday February 24 to Sunday March 13.
