When it comes to parenting teenagers there is no owner’s manual to guide parents through what might seem to be at times the most wonderful and challenging times.

Disney and Pixar explore and celebrates this dynamic in their newest lighthearted film Turning Red that’s hitting the big screen today.

The movie will be great for both parents and children to watch as it explores this universal theme that rings true whether you’re the parent, a child, or maybe both. It is without a doubt a wonderful cheerful look into this tricky balancing relationship that both teenagers and parents have to face at one stage.

The movie introduces Mei Lee, a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, is never far from her daughter … an unfortunate reality for a teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever her emotions get the better of her (which is practically always), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! This family-friendly film is sure to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Catch all the fun at a cinema near you.
