It was two hours of laughter, good music and spot prizes, along with an incredible talk by life coach and author of Christian devotional books for women and children Caitlyn de Beer, at Project Hope’s fund-raising women’s breakfast. Project Hope was founded during the first lockdown in March 2020 by Sara Brown, a local mother on a mission to restore the dignity and revive the hope of those worst affected by the pandemic. The organisation, made up of volunteers, provides emergency response, education, health care, nutritional support and social upliftment support for vulnerable children and the people who care for them. This event was in aid of the children’s soup kitchen in Hillcrest’s Embo Reserve and was hosted at the Library Bisto at Lillies Quarter in Hillcrest.
