Sixty ladies (and a few gents) spent a recent Saturday morning at a memorable and uplifting pre-Mother’s Day celebration. Hosted by Kim Griffith-Jones of Connective Consulting and powered by Khwezi Development, mums and daughters gathered at the event which was held at a beautiful country venue in Assagay called MacNut Farm. Guests enjoyed an exhilarating morning of connecting through laughter with guest speaker and brilliant all-round performer, Lisa Bobbert McIlroy. There was incredible entertainment by local muso Carmen Roderigues whose rendition of ‘Nothing compares’ blew the audience away, an electric performance by violinist Jane Magner (aka That Girl on the Violin) and young talent Levi Nielsen who sang a beautiful tribute of ‘Isn’t she Lovely’ to his mum. Amazing prizes, delicious high tea treats and gifts for all to take home ended off the event that raised more than R5000 for local outreach NPO Hearts in Hands Foodbank.
