Ahead of World Blood Donor Day and in celebration of his 50th birthday, East Coast Radio’s Darren Maule wanted to do something special by giving back. The much-loved radio station partnered with the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) to help give others a fighting chance. Together they hosted a massive Blood Drive at Netcare St Augustine’s Hospital, which saw the ECR Breakfast team broadcasting live. Fans were able to meet Darren, Keri and Sky as well as Carol Ofori. A whopping 725 pints of blood were donated across KZN, each of which can save up to three lives. Well done Durban! What a brilliant effort from everybody who took part.
