Dr Yolandi von Gericke  Family Dental Westville

“When something is your passion, it does not feel like hard work,” says Dr Von Gericke who has been a practising dentistry for 17 years’. She has six women in her employ and they love working with children. The practice offers all modalities of general and aesthetic dentistry. Other treatments include orthodontic braces for adults and children, Clear Aligners and Botox.

What achievement are you proud of this past year?

Our practice has grown from strength to strength, this amidst surviving the five waves of Covid lockdown, the KZN looting, flooding and protest actions, and by the grace of God, we will continue to grow and succeed.

Who is your role model?

In my personal life, my mother is my role model. Being the strong woman that she is, she has taught me Christian family values and perseverance, for which I am forever thankful. Since the start of my journey in Dentistry, every dentist that I have met has been a mentor to me in some way or another. I enjoy maintaining strong bonds with my colleagues, many of whom have become friends over the years.
