Don’t miss Gateway’s latest pop-up attraction – the fantastical Bloom Room – with more than 20 000 flowers and leaves.  Six breath-taking floralscape rooms have been created for mobile photography, so anyone can take scintillating, shareable shots, ideal for both spontaneous pics and milestone celebrations like birthdays, wedding shoots, engagement proposals, anniversaries, graduation shoots and artistic maternity portraits. Each room has a distinctive colour palette, personality and floral interpretation of its own. There’s Evergreen Wings; Swing into Spring; Succulent Sanctuary; Nostalgia Calling; Pretty-in-Pink and Paparazzi Bust. The attraction is open for three months so be sure to visit before the season is over. The show goes on for Queen

Queen: It’s a Kinda Magic recreates Queen’s 1986 World Tour Concert with a long-awaited live music tribute that all fans must see. The show promises over two-hours of Queen hits performed live on stage and in original key by Durban boy Warren Vernon-Driscoll who takes to the mic as lead singer ‘Freddie Mercury’. With some of the world’s most loved tunes … a fusion of heavy metal, glam rock, and camp theatrics … we cannot wait! The show is on at The Globe at Suncoast, Durban, on Saturday, September 3 at 8pm. A soulful night of music with top musos! There is a huge treat in store for music-lovers, with an all-star line-up at this month’s Jim Beam Welcome Sessions. Don’t miss Clansthal Conservancy’s September fundraising Craft Market.  Visitors can enjoy a relaxing Sunday in a beautiful garden with magnificent sea views. while browsing more than 40 stalls offering a range of crafts, clothing, décor and food. There will be live music, making the experience that much more enjoyable, so get there early for breakfast and stay for lunch. The market takes place on Sunday, September 11 from 9am to 2pm at the delightful home of Keith and Liz Cunningham, 111 Pig & Whistle Drive, Clansthal.  All funds raised will be used to support conservancy initiatives that are focussed on the environmental aspects or needs of the area. The Kloof Project is a group of dedicated volunteers who serve the community by maintaining indigenous plantings in the business district, picking up litter, beautifying landscapes as well as the rail reserve that runs through the village. They invite you to their open annual meeting. There will be snacks, followed by brief annual activity reports and an inspiring presentation by local doyenne of indigenous plants, Jenny Dean. She will show you how to slowly and purposefully convert your exotic garden into a fully indigenous water-wise splendour. Where has the time gone! Yesterday a beautiful baby, today a teenager you hardly recognise or can talk to. If you long for the connection you had with your child before teenhood then this is the ideal opportunity to reunite. Cancer survivor and life coach Candice King, who works very closely with teens and their moms, is hosting a one-night retreat that offers an opportunity to be away from the humdrum of life and re-connect with your teen. The retreat will be hosted at Sensayuma Backpackers at the Tugela mouth, and features two yoga sessions, a talk for moms and a talk for teens, bonding and connecting activities.
