The Baby Home in Durban North held a Survivor-themed fundraising breakfast recently, to raise awareness about the home – a registered Place of Safety for abandoned or orphaned babies. The home is linked to the Peace Agency, a Durban-based umbrella NPO for several projects focused on alleviating the plight of orphans and vulnerable children. There was entertainment by Dream Girls Productions, and Rob Bentele, the winner of Survivor SA Island of Secrets, was the guest speaker. Durban funny man Aaron McIlroy had guests in stiches as he hilariously handled auctioning off some fabulous items in a bid to help generate some much-needed funds for the home.
