Woodlands Dairy, one of the largest dairy manufacturers in South Africa and industry leader in sustainability, has launched a brand new milk based energy drink under their First Choice brand.<\/p>\n

First Choice KICK contains the same energising ingredients as regular energy drinks and is specially designed for the committed, on-the-go hustler. Says Marisa Maccaferri, Marketing Manager for Woodlands Dairy and First Choice: \u201cA first in SA, our milk based energy drink is a healthy and tasty alternative to existing drinks.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of KICK\u2019s biggest advantages is its low-fat dairy base, which offers the added benefits of a healthy snack to satisfy hunger pangs and boost energy at the same time. \u201cOur energy drink is loaded with all the good stuff that will keep you going, can help you punch a hole in your day and have a positive impact on your and others\u2019 situation. While the caffeine, sugar, ginseng, guarana and taurine go to work on you, you are sustained by the goodness of dairy,\u201d Maccaferri explains.<\/p>\n

She continues that the product is for the person burning the candle at both ends, whatever it may be – working two jobs, studying into the early morning, dreaming big and working even harder. \u201cThis is perfect for when you need an extra boost of energy to take you that little further. It contains Vitamin A, which is excellent for healthy eyes, maintenance of white blood cells and the immune system. It\u2019s fortified with B Vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12), which are essential for the body\u2019s optimal functioning and health. Furthermore it\u2019s rich in carbohydrates, a key energy source that helps fuel the body and brain.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Maccaferri, KICK compares favourably to other energy drinks on the market. \u201cBut it\u2019s not on the upper spectrum of sugar and caffeine content. It contains caffeine, guarana, ginseng and taurine, all designed to give you that much needed, extra boost of energy, promote wakefulness, maintain alertness, and provide cognitive and mood enhancement. The calcium aids your body to build and maintain strong bones and muscles and assists your heart and nerves to function properly. The Cranberry is a firm favourite and not bitter or tart, but sweet and almost cherry like. Coffee has a strong coffee aroma and flavour. It contains real coffee extract for an extra caffeine boost which consumers love. Once you\u2019ve cracked open the Cinnabomb and given it a good shake, it smells like a delicious pancake. In your mouth, the cinnamon and milk blend together for a sweet milk tart taste. And last but not least, the Tropical Punch is everything one would expect of a bowl of fruit, passion fruit, banana and guava, delicious and refreshing at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n

As with most of the First Choice products, KICK boasts a biobased closure, partly made from natural sugarcane which offers a significantly lower carbon footprint and is a highly renewable source.<\/p>\n
