Rushing in the morning with no time to prepare a complicated breakfast but know you need to be better at eating healthy &#8211; chia pudding comes to the rescue. When you reach that hard part of the afternoon, energy waning, dinner not yet close,\u00a0hunger pains are growing and kids are getting restless &#8211; chia pudding comes to the rescue.\u00a0Chia puddings can be made with only 3 ingredients: chia seeds, milk and fruit of choice or honey.<\/p>\n<p>When it settles in the fridge, it has a pudding texture, amazing flavor and lends itself to endless topping possibilities. This snack, with recipes shared by Founder Foods, will leave you feeling <strong>satisfied, satiated and so energized<\/strong>\u00a0for your day!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>How to make chia pudding<\/h2>\n<p>Start with two jars\/small bowls of\u00a0almond or dairy <a title=\"premium cream farm milk\" href=\"https:\/\/founderfoods.co.za\/products\/premium-cream-farm-milk-with-bottle?_pos=1&amp;_sid=361ff7d43&amp;_ss=r\">milk<\/a>\u00a0(or any milk you\u2019d like) and some\u00a0<a title=\"Chia\" href=\"https:\/\/founderfoods.co.za\/products\/chia?variant=30395757428818\">chia seeds.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ratio is everything! The ratio we found that works best is\u00a02 tablespoons of chia seeds\u00a0for every\u00a0half cup of milk. Different ratios achieve different textures and consistency. You can play around with the measurements to find the consistency you like best.<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0078\/5763\/5410\/files\/Chia_breakfast_pudding_Strawberries_insta_240x240.png?v=1610392658\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Inclusion Options:<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>In addition to the chia and milk we often use the following inclusions:<\/li>\n<li>Chopped dates<\/li>\n<li>Raisins or cranberries (soaked overnight)<\/li>\n<li>Mashed banana<\/li>\n<li>Raw Cacao Powder<\/li>\n<li>Maca powder<\/li>\n<li>Granola<\/li>\n<li>Raw honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0078\/5763\/5410\/files\/Chia_breakfast_pudding_blueberries_240x240.png?v=1610391684\" alt=\"\" \/><\/div>\n<h4>For toppings the options are almost endless:<\/h4>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Fresh or frozen\u00a0mango, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pineapple, melon, kiwi, dragon fruit, banana,<\/li>\n<li>Cacao nibs<\/li>\n<li>Puffed spelt<\/li>\n<li>Puffed rice<\/li>\n<li>Puffed amaranth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0078\/5763\/5410\/files\/Chia_breakfast_pudding_cocoa_240x240.png?v=1610392393\" width=\"240x240\" height=\"240x240\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>The Method:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Chia puddings are simply a case of mixing the chia and milk, leaving it to stand and adding toppings. It&#8217;s that easy!<\/p>\n<p>The steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pour ingredients into a jar and mix well. Let settle for 2-3 minutes then mix again very well until you see no clumping.<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-5591-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Cover the jar and store in fridge overnight or for at least 2 hours.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"wprm-recipe-5591-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\">\n<div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">When you&#8217;re ready to eat it, top with your favorite fruit and enjoy cold!<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>When it\u2019s time to mix in the chia seeds, mix very well until all the\u00a0chia seeds are incorporated into the milk. Then wait a few minutes for the chia pudding to settle and mix again. This will ensure it doesn&#8217;t separate\u00a0in the fridge. Check to make sure there are no clumps and don\u2019t refrigerate it until it\u2019s clump-free.<\/p>\n<p>We love topping our chia puddings\u00a0with fresh fruit or dried fruit, nuts, shredded coconut, hemp seeds, granola and honey. You can also mix in some mashed banana. Make you chia pudding in small jars and store a supply in the fridge for between meal snacking over a few days.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A word of warning:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you start making these chia puddings they will likely become an immediate staple in your fridge.
