Even though we don\u2019t need a good reason to pour ourselves a G&T,\u00a0\u00a0the 12th<\/sup>\u00a0of June is World Gin Day, and another perfect excuse to celebrate all things gin!<\/p>\n

Founding owner of premium drinks company,\u00a0Truman & Orange<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Rowan Leibbrandt, believes that the gin craze in South Africa is far from over: \u201cWe\u2019re finding that the gin category is moving so quickly and our job is to simplify the selection process for retailers by helping them to offer a range of \u2018discovery brands\u2019 for educated, discerning South African drinkers.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Truman & Orange team has put together a few of their favourite gin cocktails, including\u00a0non-alcoholic options for those who still want to raise their glass and celebrate the ever-growing ginnaisance!<\/p>\n

BLOEDLEMOEN SAGRONI
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

25ml\u00a0Bloedlemoen Gin
\n25ml\u00a0Campari
\n25ml\u00a0full cream sherry
\n1 orange twist\/peel garnish (pro tip: use a potato peeler)<\/p>\n

Stir all the ingredients together and strain into a tumbler glass with a big block of ice. Take the orange twist and squeeze the oil over the drink. Pro tip:\u00a0 Run the peel on the outside of the glass \u2026 \u00a0it gives you a multisensory experience with the orange oil on your fingertips.<\/p>\n

POMPELMO GIMLET<\/strong><\/p>\n

50ml Ginato Pompelmo
\n5ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
\n5ml Lemon Juice
\n5ml Sugar Syrup
\n5ml Lime Cordial<\/p>\n

Add ice to rocks glass with all ingredients. Stir\u00a0 and garnish with pink grapefruit wedge<\/p>\n

SEEDLIP GARDEN BOOCH (non-alcoholic)<\/strong><\/p>\n

50 ml Seedlip Garden
\nIce chunks or cubes
\nPassionfruit kombucha
\nMint leaves<\/p>\n

Pour Seedlip over ice and top up with kombucha and garnish with mint<\/p>\n

AVIATION RASBERRY FIZZ<\/strong><\/p>\n

50ml Aviation Gin
\n25ml raspberry shrub
\n15ml beetroot juice
\n20ml lemon juice
\n20ml egg white<\/p>\n

Top with Fever Tree tonic. Hard dry-shake, wet-shake and strain.<\/p>\n

50ml Brooklyn Gin
\n20ml Lemon Juice
\n20ml Honey Syrup<\/p>\n

Shake gin, lemon juice and honey syrup with ice and serve in a rocks glass with a slice of lemon.<\/p>\n

50ml Abstinence Cape Fynbos
\nFever Tree tonic water
\nLemon peel
\nFresh berries<\/p>\n
