Try them at home. We promise you won&#8217;t be disappointed!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Crispy chicken and cabbage wontons \u2013 serves 4<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>40 store bought wonton wrappers (you can get these from Sun Sun Asian Market in Durban North)<\/p>\n<p>600g chicken mince<\/p>\n<p>1 cup finely shredded white cabbage<\/p>\n<p>20g coriander, finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 stick of lemongrass, outer part removed and finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>20g finely chopped chives<\/p>\n<p>15g fresh ginger, minced<\/p>\n<p>2 cloves of garlic, crushed and finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 egg<\/p>\n<p>Salt for seasoning<\/p>\n<p>Oil for deep frying<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Method:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preheat your deep fat fryer to 180 degrees<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, combine all your filling ingredients<\/li>\n<li>This is the fun part, the folding of the wonton wrappers. Taking a wrapper, place water around the edges and place a small teaspoon of chicken filling in the centre.<\/li>\n<li>Bring each corner of the wonton wrapper to the centre, sealing the edges.<\/li>\n<li>Working in batches, fry the wontons for 3-4 minutes until crispy and golden.<\/li>\n<li>Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice.
