What Tersia Geary loves about hairdressing is working with people and creating that Picasso Masterpiece that makes each of her client\u2019s smile and say, \u2018I love my hair!\u2019.<\/p>\n

Tersia was a born stylist as from a young age she was playing with her mom\u2019s hair and pretending to be a hairdresser. \u201cMy aunt used to be a stylist, so I am convinced it runs in my blood. I even cut our neighbour’s daughter\u2019s hair into a very inexperienced asymmetrical style, practising from an early age, although my backside was warmed up well for playing with scissors,\u201d she laughs. \u201cPersonally, I think that you are either born with the love and passion for hair and people or not at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today this experienced hairdresser, whose dream became a reality when she opened her own salon in October 2019 in Hillcrest, finds inspiration from new marketing trends and social media sites. \u201cTo keep up with the fast-changing hair trends we (my team and I) try to attend many seminars and we receive training on products from all our brand service providers. If we don\u2019t keep up, we will be left behind with the latest colour, foiling and cutting trends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tersia says another attraction she loves about her hairdressing career is being more to her clients than just the stylist sorting out the crown they never take off. \u201cWe are also councilors, a shoulder to cry on and so much more \u2026 we get to know their spouse and see their children growing up and having kids of their own. What is there not to love about my job,\u201d she smiles.<\/p>\n

Tersia also promotes hair brand products that are eco-friendly and not tested on animals, and while customers are waiting for their colour or perm to process, the lovely nail tech, Pretty, offers manis and pedicures using Lola Lee and Bio Sculpture gel with acrylic dipping and art work.<\/p>\n

For the month of April Only, clients who have any colour, foils, perm or Mycro keratin treatments booked will also receive a free cut and blow wave.<\/p>\n
